Avelo, a little known budget airline, is now the carrier for ICE deportation flights. The company signed a contract with DHS and started making deportation flights in May. But the airline’s government approved abductions can – and must – be stopped. Avelo “Abduction Air” said it took this contract because of shaky finances – so let’s show them that there’s no profit in kidnapping. To beat a corporation complicit in our horrific immigration regime, where legal residents are being taken off the streets, we need to make sure Avelo knows we won’t fly on their planes; we’ll stop any subsidies we have, and we’ll stop them from flying into our communities.
Our movement is growing. At the end of May, tens of thousands of people took action online and in the streets. This builds off of incredible organizing by students, faith communities, retirees, and many others across the country where actions have led to statements from local officials, the ending of subsidies, and tens of thousands refusing to fly Abduction Air. We’re keeping up the pressure until we win: we’re on track to put enough pressure on Abduction Air to force it to drop the ICE contract, but we need you to help us do it!

I pledge to take action against Avelo for destroying our communities by taking ICE deportation flights. I commit to join or host local actions and look for ways to undermine the support necessary for Avelo to operate a business kidnapping-for-profit, doing my part to ensure Avelo can’t fly into my community or help separate families in my community.
